Brushless DC motors are widely used in automobiles, tools, industrial control, automation, aerospace, etc. Generally speaking, brushless DC motors can be divided into three main uses:
1. Variable load applications: Mainly applications that require speed changes within a certain range, and applications that have higher requirements on motor speed characteristics and dynamic response time characteristics. For example, household appliances, dryers and compressors are good examples. The automotive industry's oil pump control, electronic controller, engine control, etc. The system cost of such applications is relatively high.
2. Continuous load applications: Mainly in fields that have certain requirements for speed but not high speed accuracy, such as fans, water pumps, and hair dryers. The cost is low and most of them are open-loop control.
3. Positioning applications: Most industrial control and automatic control applications fall into this category. In such applications, energy transfer is often completed, so there are special requirements for the dynamic response of the speed and torque, and higher requirements for the controller. Optoelectronics and some synchronization devices can be used for speed measurement. Many of these applications include process control, machine control and transportation control.
