Stepper motors can be equipped with reduction motors. However, whether a geared motor is needed depends on the torque required by your equipment, the displacement and movement speed required for each step, and the structure. Here is an example to illustrate. For example: you finally drive a screw with a pitch of 1MM, and the displacement of each step is required to be 0.01MM (this screw requires 100 steps to rotate once) and the motor step angle is 7.5 degrees ( 48 steps/turn), what should I do if a geared motor is not needed in this case? In this case, a stepper motor is used, and a geared motor is required to achieve this.
Mechanical equipment will produce more or less noise during operation, and stepper motors are no exception. Perhaps the decibels of noise from other equipment on the production line have overwhelmed the sound emitted by the stepper motor, but if the equipment is placed in a quieter place, the noise is no longer so insignificant. Expanded noise not only creates communication barriers but also reduces the quality of the work environment.
1. The resonance zone can be avoided by changing the mechanical transmission such as reduction ratio;
2. You can use a driver with subdivision function;
3. It can be replaced by a stepper motor with a smaller step angle;
4. It can be replaced with an AC servo motor, which can almost completely overcome vibration and noise;
5. You can add a magnetic damper to the motor shaft.
