Linear reduction motor refers to a gear reduction motor that is equipped with a gear reduction box on the basis of an ordinary DC motor. The purpose of a gear reducer is to provide lower speed and higher torque. During use, it is very important to measure the speed of the linear reduction motor. Generally speaking, there are two main methods for measuring the speed of linear reduction motors:

1. Photoelectric speedometer. The system consists of a grid plate and a photoelectric grid. When the DC motor drives the part to rotate the grid, the tachometer photogate gets a series of pulse signals. These pulses are coordinated by two timers/counters, a counter and a timer. Count the number of pulses per unit time. After unit conversion, the speed of the linear reduction motor can be calculated.

2. Speed measurement method based on Hall effect principle. The rotating shaft of the linear reduction motor drives the magnet on the shaft to rotate, thereby changing the size of the magnetic field. As the rotational speed changes, the frequency of the output pulses also changes. Therefore, the rotation speed of the linear reduction motor is obtained.
