1. Select the speed ratio of the linear reduction motor:


When selecting a linear reduction motor, you must first clarify the reduction ratio. After determining the reduction ratio, multiply the rated torque of the servo motor you selected by the reduction ratio. In principle, the value obtained should be less than the rated output torque of the same type of geared motor provided by the product sample. At the same time, the overload capacity of the drive motor and the maximum operating torque required in practice should also be considered. The required maximum working torque should be less than 2 times the rated output torque.


2. Select the size and specifications of the linear reduction motor:


After meeting the above conditions, please choose a smaller reduction motor, whose cost is relatively low. If you don't have enough space to connect the motor linearly, you can also choose an angle geared motor, which can torque a 90-degree turn.


3. Selection of accuracy of linear reduction motor:


Next, consider the accuracy of the geared motor. The smaller the return gap, the higher the accuracy and the higher the cost. Users need to choose a series of linear reduction motors that meet their accuracy requirements.


4. Consider the service life of the linear reduction motor:


Also consider lateral/radial forces and average life. Linear reduction motors with large lateral/radial forces have high installation and use reliability and are less likely to cause problems. Actual life can be calculated based on the software given by the manufacturer. Usually its average life span is much longer than that of the servo motor.
