Braking stepper motors are also called brakes and brakes. Ordinary stepper motors do not have an automatic locking function when the power is off. They can only lock themselves when the power is on. In order to achieve self-locking, a brake device needs to be installed at the end of the stepper motor. When the motor is powered on, the brake device will separate from the output shaft of the motor, allowing the stepper motor to operate normally; when the power is cut off, the device will lock the motor. axis.

The brake stepper motor is mainly suitable for driving vertical motion. The brake relies on external 12 ~ 24vdc. When the stepper motor is powered on, the brake is activated to fix the motor shaft and solve the problem of the stepper motor still being locked after the power is turned off. To solve the problem of tight state, now 57, 86, and 110 series two-phase or three-phase stepper motors can use brake devices. The brake creates an air gap electromagnetically and is suitable for all areas where moving heavier objects are slowed down or restricted for a short time and provides the resulting braking torque even when the power supply is interrupted. Braking force is generated by compression springs or permanent magnets. For all brakes, DC24V voltage must be connected to create an air gap. The integrated brake uses plug connection for operation under harsh environmental conditions (IP54).

Brake stepper motors are widely used in semiconductor devices, strapping machines, packaging machinery, textile machinery, CNC machine tools, bio-light analysis and detection instruments, various workstations, optical detection equipment, laser focusing devices, and even cone machines, automobile inspection equipment and other fields.
