Stepper motor application considerations

1. Stepper motors are used for low-speed applications: no more than 1000 RPM (0.9666 PPS), preferably between 1000-3000pps (0.9 PPS). It can be operated by restoring the device. At this time, the motor efficiency is high and the noise is low.

2. It is best not to use the entire step state, which will cause the motor to vibrate greatly.

3. The stepper motor uses 12 V voltage. Others are not driving voltages. You can choose the driving voltage (recommendation: 57 BYG uses DC 24 V and 36 V, 86 BYG uses DC 50 V, and 110 BYG uses DC 80 V).

4. For loads with large rotational inertia, large stepper motors should be selected.

5. When the stepper motor runs at high speed or under a large inertia load, it usually does not start at the operating speed. Instead, it uses a gradual frequency boost and acceleration. To solve this problem, use high-precision, mechanical deceleration, increase the motor speed or high-precision fractional drive, or use a 5-phase stepper motor.

6. Stepper motors should not work in vibration areas. If necessary change the voltage or current or add some damping.

7. The working voltage of the stepper motor is below 600PPS (0.9) and should be driven by small current, high inductance and low voltage.

8. The principle of selecting the motor first and then starting it should be followed.
