Planetary reducer is the most important type of reducer matched with servo motor. When purchasing a reducer, the first thing to consider is the reduction ratio. After determining the reduction ratio, multiply the rated torque of the motor by the reduction ratio to obtain the rated output torque of the same reducer provided in the product catalog, which is in principle less than the rated output torque. At the same time, check the overload capacity of the drive motor and the actual required maximum working torque. Generally, the maximum working torque is required to be 2-digit rated output torque. After meeting the above conditions, choose the smallest reducer with lower cost.


Then there is the return clearance of the planetary gear reducer. The smaller the return clearance, the higher the accuracy and the higher the cost. Users can choose the reducer according to their own accuracy requirements. Lateral/radial forces and average life are tested. Reduction gears with large lateral/radial forces provide high reliability in installation and operation and are less prone to failure. Generally speaking, its average life is much longer than that of servo motors. After meeting the above specifications, you can select the installation size according to the product catalog.
