The reduction motor is a relative machine whose purpose is to reduce the speed and increase the torque. There are many models, and different types have different uses. According to the transmission mode, they can be divided into gear reduction motors, worm gear reduction motors and planetary gear reduction motors; according to the number of transmission stages, they can be divided into single-stage and multi-stage reducers; according to the shape of the gear, they can be divided into cylindrical gear reduction Motors, bevel gear reduction motors and bevel cylindrical gear reduction motors; according to the transmission mode, they can be divided into unfolded, split and coaxial reduction motors.


2. Working principle of reduction motor


Reduced motors are generally used in transmission equipment with low speed and high torque. Electric motors, internal combustion engines or other high-speed running power achieve the purpose of deceleration by meshing the gear with a small number of teeth on the input shaft of the reduction motor and the large gear on the output shaft. The reduction motor will also have several pairs of gears with the same principle to achieve the desired effect. The ratio of the number of teeth of the large and small gears is the transmission ratio.


The difference from an inverter: a reduction motor reduces the motor speed through a mechanical transmission device, while a frequency converter adjusts the motor speed by changing the frequency of alternating current. Energy saving can be achieved by reducing the motor speed through the frequency converter.
